Dr. Dhari Al-Huwail Wins "Munjiz'' Award From the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs for his Research in Health Informatics

 
Dr. Dhari Adel Al-Huwail, a faculty member in the Department of Information Science at College of Computing Sciences and Engineering at Kuwait University, received an award from the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs. His research was the best research in health informatics at the annual World Health Informatics Conference at the University of Maryland- USA. The winning research paper dealt with the theme "Exploiting IT systems and improving performance in home health care".
Dr. Al-Huwail stressed that the most important recommendations of the research indicate that the optimal utilization of health information systems and applications in the health sector contributes to raising the quality of services provided to patients and keep them longer in their homes.
Dr. Al-Huwail added that the field of health informatics is a vital field that helps to raise the quality of medical services, ensure the safety of patients, as well as make the health staff more efficient.
Dr. Al-Huwail extended his gratitude to the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs for their continuous support to the Kuwaiti youth and encouragement to pursuit excellence.
